We actively encourage open visiting
Haulfryn has an open visiting policy, which is part of our ethos to provide a friendly atmosphere for all. We feel friends and family are an integral part of the service we provide; we see this relationship imperative to ensuring people are well supported.
Respite Care
Everyone needs a break from time to time. If you are the primary caregiver for a family member, ask about our short-term respite care service.
Advice & Support
We want families to know that we are there to support them as much as the person living with dementia. Anything we can do to help you on this journey – we will.

Introducing you to our lovely care home
We are a family-run residential home, providing enhanced dementia care and support to older people aged 60 and over. Haulfryn specialises in the care of people living with dementia, Parkinson’s and other mental health diagnoses. We care through all stages of mental health from early onset to palliative and end-of-life care.
The home is owned by Mr and Mrs Regan, who acquired the business in 2001. Mrs Regan began her employment at Haulfryn for the previous owners in 1990, working her way up to the position of registered manager before they retired.
Mrs Clare Roberts is Managing Director and Responsible Individual of the home and is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Regan. Clare has worked for Haulfryn since 2013, with more than ten years’ experience in the care of the elderly with dementia.
Miss Abbie Edwards is Registered Manager of Haulfryn. Abbie has been part of the team at Haulfryn since 2016 and has a wealth of knowledge and skills on supporting people living with Dementia. Abbie is fluent in Welsh and actively supports our team to converse in Welsh with those who live at Haulfryn.
Haulfryn Care is situated in the beautiful village of Cymau, which is a small, friendly, peaceful village located between Wrexham (3 miles), Mold (6 miles) and Chester (9 miles).
The home’s location enjoys beautiful, elevated views of open countryside with a pretty garden and patio seating area within its grounds. The area around the house is set out with patio furniture in the warmer months to encourage all to appreciate the gardens and the views as often as they wish.
